Night Case — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 September 2026. Published at https://nightcase.fly.dev/privacy.html
Night Case is an offline party game: one phone is passed around the table and hosts a game of Mafia. This policy explains what the app does with data. The short version: the game itself stays on your phone; only in-app purchases go through the store.
Who we are
Night Case is published on Google Play by Modiak Development and on the App Store by its publisher there. Questions about this policy: nightcase.party@gmail.com.
What stays on your phone
- Players' names, seating, rules and the log of every case you play. They are stored only on the device, are never sent anywhere, and are deleted when you delete the app.
- Your settings (language, sound, and whether the free first big case was used). The operating system may include them in your own device backup (iCloud or Android Backup), under your account and settings, not ours.
There are no accounts. We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, contacts, location, microphone, camera or photos.
What leaves your phone: purchases
The game is free for 5–8 players. Extra packs (for example, more seats or more roles) are one-time in-app purchases. When you buy or restore a purchase:
- the payment is handled entirely by Google Play or the App Store; we never see your card or payment details;
- we use RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.) to check the purchase and remember which packs you own. RevenueCat receives the store's purchase record (product, price, time, store transaction ID) and a random app user ID created on your phone. This ID is not linked to your name, email or any advertising ID. RevenueCat's privacy policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy
This data is used only to unlock what you bought, to restore it on reinstall, and for our own sales totals. It is sent encrypted.
What we do not do
- No advertising, no advertising ID, no tracking across apps or websites.
- No analytics or crash-reporting services. If we ever add them, this policy will be updated first and the store's data section with it.
- We do not sell or share data with anyone, other than the purchase check above.
Children
Night Case is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any data from them.
Deleting your data
Everything the game stores (players' names, cases, settings) is on your phone: delete the app and it is gone.
To have your purchase records deleted from RevenueCat:
- Write to nightcase.party@gmail.com with the subject "Night Case: delete my data".
- Say which store you bought in (Google Play or App Store) and, if you can, the order number from the store's receipt, so we can find the right record.
- We delete the RevenueCat record within 30 days and reply when it is done.
After that, already bought packs can still be restored from the store: the store keeps its own record of your purchase under its own policy, and a new install will create a new random ID.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at the same address with a new date.
